Petal Cone Die Tuxedo Valentine's Box

I made this box for my husband for Valentine's Day.
I plan to fill it with his favorite, chocolate covered caramels.

I made it with 2 Real Red and 1 Basic Black hearts that I cut using the
Big Shot Petal Cone Die (#121810).

The Real Red hearts are the base on the top and bottom.  I folded the Basic Black heart in half lengthwise and free cut the design in the center for the Whisper White shirt.  I used my Crimping Tool to make the tuxedo ribs, secured the piece of Whisper White to the Basic Black.  The box itself is embossed with the hearts Adorning Accents Folder (#125601).

The bow tie and the handkerchief are punched with the Small Heart Punch (#117193).  The buttons  are Brights Glimmer Brads (#121006).  The small circle in the center of the bow tie is punched from the eye on the Owl Builder Punch (#118074).

For My Wonderful Mother Paper Doily Card

I made this card as a swap for my group's quarterly gathering.
I love how elegant it turned out.

I used one of the new paper doilies (#129399) from the Spring catalog.  I spritzed it using a mixture of 1/4 Frost White Shimmer Paint (#116854), 3/4 Rubbing Alcohol (70%), and 3 drops of Marina Mist ink refill (#119787) in a Stampin' Spritzer (#126185) to color the doily.  It is important to use 70% Rubbing Alcohol so that it will dry faster.  The flower was made with 3 punched 1 3/4" Scalloped Circles (#119854).  I separated the layers using my bone folder and I secured the layers with a 3/16" Brights Brad (#119740).

I used Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder and Raspberry Ripple paper.  The tag was made with the Labels Collections Framelits (#125598).  The embellishments are Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon (#122973), Crochet Trim (#118481) and Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247).

Cottage Window Valentine's Day Card - Leadership 2013 Swap

I love the Cottage Window stamp set.  I am always trying to find new ways to use it.  This was one of the swaps that I made for the Leadership Conference in Orlando.  It was so fun to make.  You can't see it very well in the picture but I sponged the whisper white card stock in the window with the Summer Starfruit and Tempting Turquoise to give it a little color.

This would also be easy to make it into an anniversary or wedding card.  What do you think?  Do you like it?  If not, how would you change it?

November 2012 - Christmas Stamp-A-Stack

These are the cards we are making at the Christmas Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday.  I will be posting the recipes and possibly some videos on how to make these soon.

Christmas Pine Cone Card

I love this card! I know, I say that about every card I post.  I guess I should just cover it by saying, I love Stampin' Up!  This card is one that we will be making at our Third Tuesday Stamp Club meeting.  I made it with these punches: Bird Builder (117191), Boho Blossoms (119858), Scallop Oval (119856), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309), Merry Minis Punch Pack (126882), and Decorative Label (120907).  I used the  More Merry Messages (126402) and Lovely as a Tree (127793) stamp sets.  I used Gumball Green, Early Espresso, Real Red, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White paper and ink.  The tree, star and pine cones are embellished with Dazzling Details (124117) and the poinsettias are embellished with Pearl Basic Jewels (119247).

October Third Tuesday Stamp Club Projects

These are the projects that we are going to make at this months Third Tuesday Stamp Club.  The gingerbread man project is a hand sanitizer holder.  I used the pocket bac hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works.  I love their fragrances.  The Christmas card was blinged up using the dazzling details Cherry Cobbler (#125585) and original (#124117).  It makes everything so much better.  Actually, I used the original dazzling details on the gingerbread man's buttons, eyes and mouth.  You can't see it very well in the picture but they truly look like gumdrop buttons.
